Have you been thinking about a career change? Want to become part of the most trusted healthcare profession in the country? Carroll University’s new direct-entry graduate degree in nursing will provide you with the skills and experiences you need to become a Registered Nurse and thrive in the high-demand field of nursing.
Carroll University’s Master of Science in Nursing - Direct Entry program is a 72-credit program, offered in 20 months or over five full-time semesters beginning each fall. The MSN-DE is open to anyone with a baccalaureate degree in an area other than nursing, once they have met the admission requirements and course prerequisites. The program’s 8-week hybrid courses mix online learning with labs and clinicals, designed around a consistent schedule to make your life easier.
Carroll's Nursing Department is partnering with ProHealth Care to offer our clinical placements on Designated Educational Units (DEU) for our MSN-Direct Entry students. This is the first DEU opportunity for both Carroll and ProHealth Care, now taking place at ProHealth Care Waukesha and Oconomowoc campuses. The DEU is a mutually beneficial clinical education model that allows students to work directly with the nursing staff, caring for patients with CU faculty – acting as ambassadors helping students and nursing staff.
Carroll University’s nursing program occupies space in two modern nursing lab facilities—the brand new Donald and Martha DeWees Nursing Simulation and Collaboration Hub and the newly renovated Henke Nursing Center— on our historic main campus in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
